Christmas Decorations

We got out the first of the Christmas decorations this morning!
We played with the nativity sets, decorated the tree and the mantle.
I wore my pjs all day. It was so great.
And we even had popcorn and cereal for dinner. I think it was our first junk food dinner.
With the house a mess from decorating, that might be a fun tradition to have!
I need to get our stockings monogrammed, and order one for Emmaline.
I have a few other things I want to do around the house, so it's not finished.

But it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Elijah's New Bathroom

When my parents were here, they painted Elijah's new bathroom for us. It is so fun and cheerful, and he loves going in there to "roar" at the lion trashcan and point to the shower curtain hooks and "stomp like an elephant" or make monkey noises. The first time he saw the finished painted walls, he said "Wow!" (Which was a nicely timed coincidence, considering that's one of his favorite words that he says all the time.) The walls were a solid blue that you see in the stripe, and we just added yellow, white and green on top of the existing blue. Of course, I haven't been able to put the finishing touches on it like I would like, so that will be a fun project for the fall. Thank you so much for painting it for us, Mom and Dad!
