The first is our camera. Our beloved camera died tonight. We have had her for almost 5 years, and after several hard falls recently, she fell to her death tonight. Since our camera is such a daily part of our lives, and we could have our second-born child very soon, we are already shopping for a new camera online. And I know blog posts are no fun without pictures, so I'll post a picture of our camera for her obituary. (You will find it interesting that we paid over $200 for it 5 years ago and it costs $70 today.)
And the second is me. I have been put on strict bed rest. We went to the hospital yesterday for the second steroid shot, and had some time to talk with one of my doctors while we waited for the pharmacy to send the shot up to the L & D triage. After talking with the doctor in more detail about my routine at home, and having an 18 month old toddler, she recommended that I go on a strict bed rest. Strict bed rest is defined as bathroom and shower privileges only, and eating at the table for meals with my family. Moderate bed rest without a toddler is totally different than moderate bed rest without children. As you can imagine. So, I'll be alternating between my two"camp out sites" -- the couch and the bed for the upcoming 6 weeks ahead. Pray for us as we adjust to this new routine, and for wisdom and understanding in the changes we will be making that affect so many areas of our life. We're loving every minute of it, though! It's a blessing to have two little ones to care for; even if it's a little challenging and creative on some days!
