As you know by now, Nick has a really fun bedtime routine with the boys. They have all kinds of things they do and Nick does a good job of changing it up and keeping it fresh. They read books, Bible stories, and sometimes Nick makes up stories. They also sing hymns, recite the catechism, excerpts from the Book of Common prayer, and memorize verses.
Nick always prays for them, and closes with something that goes like this:
"You are my son. And I love you. No matter what you do, or what you don't do, you will always be my son, and I will always love you."
Then he says, "But who loves you more than Daddy?" And they reply, "God!"
Then he asks, "Who is God?"
And he's taught them the catechism answer as well as this portion from the Book of Common Prayer:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One God, three Persons, blessed Trinity both now and forevermore. World without end. Amen.
