So we've heard that one of the best kept secrets in DC is to go to the dress rehearsal of A Capitol Fourth on the 3rd. (The televised show.)
It's the same show, minus the fireworks, and there is a MUCH smaller crowd.
It was so accessible and easy to do, and the kids loved it!
After an hour or so of the show, it started to rain, so they stopped performing and sent us all home...
we had such a memorable walk back to our car at CHBC in the rain!
As we walked back, Nick ran into a corner store and bought the kids each a small bottled coke;
they were giddy!
We met several families there, and it was surprisingly easy to find each other.
How crazy is this?
Abigail and I were Chi O sisters at Baylor, and she lives here in DC with her family and our little girls are in the same play group on Tuesday mornings.
Such a small world!
