Capitol Hill Parade

We walked in the Capitol Hill parade with our school, CHLG.
It was so, so fun and just the perfect length for a community parade.
(It is so crazy that our community parade is the Capitol Hill Parade...still surreal sometimes!)

It goes down 8th street on Barracks Row, starting at 395 and ending at Penn.
We saw a lot of faces we knew in the crowd, which was so fun.

Here we go!

We passed our biggest fans!

Hudson and Shane (Shaney) are such sweet friends.
So glad they'll be in the same class together in the fall.

We left and headed to We the Pizza for their yummy fruit sodas and AC.
We had the whole floor to ourselves; the National Independence Day parade was going on as well as a Nationals baseball game, so it was nice and quiet.

We relaxed and watched a little Wimbledon.

Heading to CHBC tonight to celebrate in the parking lot with some of the staff, then hopefully watching the fireworks from the roof...praying for no rain!
